Story of my arubaito~

Hello fellow readers,

Shao-wei here, a part-timer working at Art-Noise Hair Salon. Here I am to share with you my experiences and what I have learnt from this wonderful part-time job that I had started since January this year.

In late December, I first came to the shop in Holland Village and I was totally clueless and did not know what to expect in terms of business etiquette and treatment from my future colleagues. I was greeted by Ishiyama-San, who is the owner of the shop and he gave me a short interiew as well as told me some casual stuff about the shop. He then introduced me to the staff and even requested another fellow part-timer, Joanna, who was on duty that day, to guide me a little after the interview! I greatly appreciate the effort Ishiyama-San took to help me to familiarise and get used to my new part-time job as soon as possible, and also thank you so much Joanna for guiding me on my first day It really sped up my learning so much and it just felt so great knowing a bit of the job before you even started your first day of work!

On the first day I was also taught many things by my fellow colleagues. They were extremely warm, friendly, helpful, hospitable, appreciative and understanding, especially when we were facing difficulties. It is no doubt that everyone encounters troubles and problems on the first day of work because of lack of knowledge of the job requirements, but my ever patient colleagues had guided me along all the way till now even as I am writing this.

It has been just one and a half months since I have been working here but I must say that the experience I have gotten from working here is invaluable and it is something I really treasure! Even though I would unfortunately be stopping work at the end of March because I would be moving to Japan to further my studies, I help all of you will still continue to support Art-Noise Singapore and be the one and only hair salon you think about when you need a fix for your hair problems.
